One of the highlights of Nintendo’s latest Partner Showcase was the announcement trailer for Square Enix’s upcoming 3D action platformer, Balan Wonderworld. It confirms this new IP will be coming to the Switch on 26th March next year.
If you missed the initial announcement back in July, it’s a game from Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima – best known as the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog. They also worked on the 1996 Sega Saturn game, Nights into Dreams, which this game seems to draw inspiration from.
In the new trailer, we got a look at some of the dreamlike stages (there’s 12 all up), saw some of the costumes in the game (with over 80 to find), got a look at one of the menacing bosses, and saw some of the co-op play in action.
