The final member of the Tao Trio, Kyurem, is finally joining in on Pokémon Go’s raids from starting July 7.
The dragon- and ice-type Legendary has a plethora of weaknesses to take advantage of, so players should be able to nuke it fairly quickly.
It should be noted that while Kyurem has two other forms, Kyurem White and Kyurem Black. The version of Kyurem joining raids is its regular ol’ version, so it will not have its other forms’ signature moves.
Kyurem is weak against fighting-, rock-, steel-, dragon-, and fairy-type moves. Use any of those and you should be set. Consider taking any of the following:
- Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash
- Reshiram with Dragon Breath and Draco Meteor
- Gardevoir with Charm and Dazzling Gleam
- Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch
Beware that Kyurem can know dragon-, ice-, and steel-type moves when you face off against it, so taking dragon-, ice-, and fairy-type Pokémon can be risky.
Kyurem is a fine dragon-type attacker in gyms and raids if you teach it Dragon Breath and Draco Meteor. With the same moveset, it can do some damage in PvP as well, but isn’t really worth investing in for PvP specifically.
